I was asked to provide some honest feedback. I enjoy business sims - usually more on the casual side. Of that category, I like airline business games the most (maybe tied with locomotive games). I've been playing airline games since Aerobiz Supersonic first came out. I've played complex and very simple and most everything in between. Aerobiz Supersonic is still my favorite, but others have their place.
Right at first, it seemed as if this game was going to be SUPER complicated. However, I set up my airline (easy - and love the auto livery add . . . very nice) and went to work. The tutorial check list was very welcome. Since I'm an Airway Sim veteran, I was able to relatively easily get my footing straight away. I more or less found what I needed, leased some aircraft, set up some routes, and let it roll.
I thought, "Oh my gosh! I have to do all the hiring and personnel management!" But then I saw that it was all automated. Also automated is the scheduling. Right at first it seemed odd, but I REALLY like it. I enjoy making strategic decisions, not dealing with minutiae. This was very welcome. The maintenance was handled automatically (some of my leased planes needed B or C checks).
After some time, the money started rolling in. I appreciate that there is reputation and route reputation / awareness (maybe?), but it's not super punishing which is really nice. All of the controls to change seating, set up your service level, buy new planes, etc. seem all easily accessible and easy to understand.
For now, I simply have to say "Well done!". I'm not usually a fan of these real-time, constantly running sims, but this is a nice distraction for me, so I'll take it.
Thanks for inviting me!
