Why do my A checks keep going overdue?

← Back to Help & bugs

My one 737 flies Manchester–London three times a day plus two Edinburgh rotations, from 06:30 to about midnight. Its A check keeps going overdue, and once it took the aircraft out for a whole day and cancelled six flights.

How do other airlines fit checks in without losing flights?

An A check on the 737-200 takes about 11 hours with a contractor, longer than your overnight stop. The game now splits light checks into tasks over any night stop of five hours or more at the airport where the aircraft sits, which is how airlines handle them, so your timetable's overnight gap at Manchester is enough. Keep at least one five-hour stop every couple of days and the check will not go overdue.
